This has nothing to do with Open Source or with my photography but I'm going to make a public statement here. I'm an animal lover with this I mean that I care for my animals like I would for kids. Last week I got a message from a friend who does an internship as veterinarian at a birdhouse. Apparently they impounded a bunch of bird and a chinchilla that was kept in the same cage. A chinchilla is an animal that has as natural predator birds! Ok other kind of bird perhaps but still for the chinchilla it is living in fear. The animal had diseases, fleas and his ears are completely pecked away (see picture). Wubbe is a boy and we said we would never take a boy in the house (too much problems with the girls). But after seeing how he was abused we just couldn't but take him in. From now on our family has expanded and we are very happy with it, but let me make a statement.

PEOPLE ABUSING ANIMALS SHOULD ALL BE EXECUTED!

A harsh statement to make perhaps but one I believe in. If you think you can abuse a creature that is smaller than you and depends on your goodwill to take care of it you really are sick in your mind. I hope that the law will get applied to the guy/girl who did that to this animal and that he/she gets punished for what has been done to Wubbe!

Anyway time to stop ranting, here is a picture of wubbe, not excellent quality (taken with phone) but better and more will follow!
